South Vietnam: Honor Medal of Merit, II Class 
(silver) for the Armed Forces.
The medal was established in 1953, in 3 classes, 
to be awarded to the French (and later to the US) 
military personnel who assisted in forming and 
training of Military Units of the Vietnamese 
Armed Forces.  
Early example awarded to French.
A nice example of a military decoration of a 
country that no longer exists.
