marked "925" for silver purity and dated 1976
(B10).
Also marked with the Swedish national mark
(3 crowns) and the mark of the city of Eskilstuna.
In its box of issue with the Royal Crown on the
lid.
The medal was created in 1814 and was initially
awarded exclusively as a Court or Royal
Household medal.
Currently, it is awarded to Swedish and foreign
citizens for special merits as well as to officials
at the Royal Court.
Since 1975 it is the 2nd highest award, after the
Seraphim Medal, that can be bestowed to
Swedish citizens.

Gustaf are being awarded since 1973.
The medal is rare and the box even rarer.
