This is a WW1 era silver gilt example, in its case
of issue by Carlman in Stockholm, marked "800"
twice on both sides of the ring.
“Nescit Occasum” (Latin: Knows no Decline)
The Order was established in 1748 by King
Frederick I, as a civic merit reward for Swedish
and foreign nationals.
The medal remained in this form until 1975.
