The badge was issued for the support of the
soldiers who were mobilized following the
outbreak of WW2.
Switzerland remained neutral during WW2.
The country however began immediately to
mobilize for a possible invasion.
By 3 Sep. 03 1939, 540.000 combat and
support troops had been mobilized.
At its highest point, 850.000 soldiers were
mobilized.
