THAILAND: 25th Buddhist Century Celebration 
Commemorative Medal.
On the obverse:  The 8th-spoked Dharma-chakra 
(Wheel of the Dharma) representing the Gautama 
Buddha's teaching of the path to Nirvana, since 
the time of early Buddhism. 
It is also connected to the Four Noble Truths and 
the Noble Eightfold Path.
The medal was awarded in 1957 to commemorate 
the celebrations that took place in Thailand (12-18 
May 1957) on the event of the 25th Buddhist Century.
