the Unit of the recipient are still visible.
The Turkish Crimean War Medal was established
in 1856 by Sultan Abdulmecid I and was issued
to allied military personnel that was involved in
the Crimean War of 1854–56.
The medal was not awarded to Turkish troops.
There are three different versions of this medal
issued respectively to British, French, or
Sardinian personnel.
