With the outbreak of the war in 1914, the KuK 6th
Army under the command of Feldzeugmeister
(Lt General of Artillery) Oskar Potiorek took part
in the Serbian Campaign only to be dissolved
before the end of the year due to heavy losses.
The 6th Army was reactivated in Jan. 1918 and
was deployed on the central Piave Front (Italian
Front) until the end of WW1.
