Austro-Hungarian Empire: A decorative set of 5
WW1 era military medals (period 1898-1918)
attached on a piece of an officer's fabric belt.
There is a loop on the top of the belt that allowed
the set to be hanged on the wall.
The medals are placed on the belt in chronological
order, most likely according to the time each one
of them had been awarded.
From top to bottom:
- 1898 Jubilee medal, for the 50 years of Kaiser
Franz Joseph's reign. Ribbon for State Officials.
- 1908 Jubilee Cross, for the 60 years of Kaiser
Franz Joseph's reign. Ribbon for State Officials.
- Bravery medal "Tapferkeit" 2nd Class (silver
class). Signed by Tautenheyn. War time ribbon.
- WW1 Cross of the Troops (or Prince Karl's
Cross).
- German WW1 War Cross of Honor 1914-1918
