Belgium: Order of Leopold II, Officer's Cross with
Crossed Swords on the ribbon, denoting a war
time award.
The Order was instituted in 1900, initially as an
award for exceptional military & civilian services
to the Belgian Congo.
In 1908 the Order became officially a Belgian
Order as well, awarded for exceptional civil or
military services to both Belgium or the Belgian
Colony of Congo.
This is the bilingual version of the Cross that
was issued after 1952, mainly for delayed WW2
awards, the Korean War etc.
