FINLAND: Order of the White Rose of Finland,
Officer's Cross (Knight 1st Class).
Silver and gilt Cross, maker marked "A.T"
(Alexander Tilander, Helsinki), marked with the
"Crown" (National mark of Finland), "813H"
(silver purity hallmark).
The Order of the White Rose of Finland was
established in 1919 and it replaced the Order
of the Cross of Liberty.
It could be awarded to military and civilian
recipients of both Finnish or foreign origin for
outstanding acts. This is a post 1920 example
(due to the marking system), awarded most likely
during WW2.
