FRANCE: Army Discharge Document of the
Corporal Felix Belugon of the French Army -
an NCO who reached the rank of the Captain.
The document was issued by the 10th Infantry
Division and is dated 1861.
The Corporal served with the 84th & 80th
Infantry Regiments of the Line.
With the latter, he took part in the Crimean
War (1854-55) and the Italian Campaign
(1859-60).
He received the British Crimea Medal of
Queen Victoria and the French Medal for
the Italian Campaign. He was honorably
discharged in 1861.
Additional documents of this man (not part
of this lot) show that in 1871 he was promoted
to the rank of the Captain of the 2nd Battalion
of Herault.
