FRANCE: Trench art paper weight - inkwell in the form
of the WW1 French Hotchkiss M1914 Machine Gun
placed on its tripod.
There is visible a dedication sign on it that relates the
item to the Camp de Sissone. The camp is located in
the area of Aisne and in 1914 was the base of the 29th
Artillery Regiment.
Probably a gift to an officer. Such gifts were typical
and representative of the interwar period.
The diorama is signed by its designer (Ouveb) .
