FRANCE: Set of 7 WW1 medals to a soldier of
the 44th Infantry Regiment for his service
during the Great War.
From left to right:
- Order of the Legion of Honor, Knight's Cross
with its diploma of issue.
This is a late issue as the diploma is dated
1932. It is quite rare the Knight of the Legion
of Honor to be awarded to a soldier. He must
had done something very special.
- Valor and Discipline Medal (or Military Medal)
- Cross of War 1914 - 1918 with star citation
- Verdun medal (Vernier type)
- Cross of Combatants
- WW1 Commemorative medal
- Victory medal (Morlon type)
The Order of the Legion of Honor represents
