who fought to suppress the 1904- 1906 
"Rebellion of Herero and Mamaqua" against the 
German Colonial rule.   
This is the rare "unofficial" example of 1907.
The massacre, following the rebellion, was 
recognized by the UN, in 1985, as one of the 
earliest genocide attempts in the 20nth Century.
